What is it with boomers and buying the most random stuff off of Temu for gifts?

My MIL is very boomer adjacent and every Christmas or birthday for my daughter, she buys all this random garbage off of TEMU.

Its just stuff that takes up space. I'd much rather she get one small thing from a reputable retailer.

The whole mentality of quantity of gifts over quality is so ridiculous.
