I have 2018 EX and I've been having issues with CarPlay recently. Basically since I've updated to iOS 26 I've found the head unit will start running CarPlay and then randomly the audio will cut out and the screen will go black. I restart the car, plug my phone in, and it says no device connected. Only way I've been able to resolve is through a factory reset.

I've tried seeing if I could update the head unit myself, instead of paying hundreds for the dealer to diagnose, but it seems like the 2018 is completely incapable of updating via USB since there's no 'System Update' screens in the menu.

Has anybody successfully updated their 2018 head unit on their own? Any other ideas to resolve this CarPlay issue?
