Can I legally fly a DJI drone around Copenhagen City Hall for a private wedding?
Hi everyone,
I’ll be in Copenhagen for a private wedding and was thinking of bringing my DJI drone for a few short aerial shots.
The idea would be around Copenhagen City Hall / Rådhuspladsen area (not commercial work, just personal use for memories).
I’m trying to understand:
- Is flying there generally allowed?
- Do I need to apply for any permit in advance? And which one (there's 3 types of permits)
- Does being a private event make any difference?
- Has anyone actually flown there and how strict is enforcement?
I checked their drone web - https://www.en.droneregler.dk/uas-geographical-zones but I could not figure it out really. The City Hall seems to be in an orange zone, which should be operated in with care.
I know Denmark has drone zones and rules about crowds, so I’m not planning to do anything risky, just trying to see whether this is realistic before travelling.
Any experiences, advices? Thanks!
