The apartment cooking struggle is so real. 2 hours of prep and washing dishes just for a 10-minute meal?
Ugh, just need to vent a little, but honestly, I'm desperate for some advice here.
I actually love home-cooked food, but cooking for just myself in a small apartment is exhausting. Between the grocery runs, prepping in a kitchen with basically zero counter space, and then tackling a mountain of dishes by hand (yep, no dishwasher life), the whole chaotic process easily eats up 2 hours of my evening.
Then I sit down, inhale the food in literally 10 minutes, and boom—I'm left staring at a messy kitchen and days of the exact same leftovers. It just feels like a massive waste of my energy after a long workday.
I really don't want to live off of takeout every day, but this routine is draining my soul.
For those of you living alone in apartments, how do you keep it efficient and actually enjoyable? What are your go-to lazy meals or kitchen hacks? Please save my sanity!
