Looking for advice from people with very large citrus trees
I have a lime tree at my family home in Saudi Arabia that has been here for at least 22 years, possibly longer.
It’s a small green lime variety, and the tree is roughly 4–5 meters tall.
It’s extremely productive. We don’t normally weigh or count the harvest, but during the season we can shake the tree over several days and collect large buckets full of limes each time.
The tree currently looks healthy with dense green foliage. The photos I’m posting were taken around autumn, which is why there is some yellowing/leaf drop visible in that particular photo.
The soil is at about 3 meters deep
I’m trying to learn more about it and take better care of it
Any advice from people who have experience with very large mature citrus trees would be greatly appreciated!
