Academics:
GPA (UW) School does not do weighted GPA: 4.0
Rank: School does not rank
APs: School does not have AP courses, but I had high course rigor taking classes in machine learning, biology, cancer research, linear algebra, calculus, etc.

Standardized Testing:

Extracurriculars/Activities:

  1. Computational researcher and lab assistant at a biotech startup for 2.5 years during the school year (can get LOR from here too)
  2. Did an individual research project related to identifying novel cancer therapeutic targets that had been overlooked in previous literature using machine learning, mentorship by biotech startup people. Was able to confirm 3 extremely underresearched proteins as cancer oncogenes, and also got to test these in the lab for my biotech internship. I also hope to publish a paper from this as the first author.
  3. Led a group of 7 people as a teacher/project mentor for an AI in Medicine class, led a project here on identifying the most important features that can predict diseases such as RA.
  4. Was a summer research intern at an AI non-profit startup in the legal field in the 10th grade
  5. Will be a summer research intern in a UCSF lab during 11th-grade summer, working with protein sampling to identify novel targets for AML. Both computational and wet-lab aspects here.
  6. I also do fine arts and piano as hobbies since I was 4 years old.
  7. Wanted to connect my love for art to my love for computational biology and worked on a project taking online biological data from and converting people's genomes into visual AI model-generated art designs.
  8. I am the co-chair of my school’s medical research club and have invited guest speakers from medical fields and co-facilitated a couple of school-wide panels. I have also presented our club and work to underprivileged students at high schools around the world.

Awards/Honors:

  1. First place at the Regional bay area STEM fair and got to participate in the california science and engineering fair (for my novel cancer targets project)
  2. 10+ Gold medals at the Local County Fair for fine arts
  3. Piano MTAC lvl 7 with state honors for 4 consecutive years, was selected among a select group of 15 students to perform at a regional music Hall
