Hi all,

I’m going to Canada for up to six months shortly. As soon as I get to Canada, I would like to apply for a visitor extension in order to stay longer. The reason being just because I have a lot of close friends there and I’d like to explore Canada more. I would not qualify under any work, student, or any other Visas like that.

I’m wondering if that’s a valid reason for extending your visitors stay/visa? Have any of you use that reason and got approved? I guess I’m just wondering if that’s valid because it’s more for recreation.

(I have ties back to US, a remote US job, stable income, etc)
