Hi, I'm new to Reddit and joined to meet other paleontology enthusiasts, but now I'd like to ask for your help with a personal project. I started a project to write a medieval fantasy book, but one where all the ecosystems are made up of prehistoric creatures from all eras. I want my world to have the same feel as games like Ark or The Isle, where animals from all eras coexist naturally, but for that, I want each ecosystem in my world to be realistic and functional (not just random carnivorous dinosaurs), and I need your help to build the ecosystems. I wanted to start with the desert; I was thinking of adding:
- Velociraptor mongoliensis
- Protoceratops andrewsi
- Scutosaurus karpinskii
- Inostrancevia latifrons
- Mononykus olecranus
- Fasolasuchus tenax (apex Predator)
What other creatures would you like to see in the desert?
