Hello All

I have a prefabricated 1970s garage at the rear of a recently purchased property (UK).

It's not structurally sound and I'm going to need to remove the full lot. I suspect it contains asbestos, however, it does not have the original concrete roof, and has been replaced (not by me) with some rubberised sheeting over a wooden frame. It still has the concrete upright panelling and some type of bonding/sealant between the panels. I've read this sealant could also contain asbestos, however it doesn't look like the images I find when I search for asbestos mastic. I have included photos of the areas outlined for context.

I will order a test kit as I am going to DIY the removal, but my question is how many parts of the structure should I sample? My initial thought is:

  1. Roof - unlikely to have ACM

  2. Walls - likely to have ACM so should test

  3. Mastic/Sealant - possibly has ACM so should test

Are there any other parts of the structure I have missed that may contain it, that I should be sampling?

Thanks
