Pixel Launcher animation bug on Google Pixel 8
Hi everyone,
I’ve noticed a graphical/animation bug on my Google Pixel 8 and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced it or found a fix.
Sometimes when I’m on the home screen and open the app drawer, the animation doesn’t play correctly when returning to the main screen. Instead of the usual smooth transition, it instantly snaps back or looks glitchy/broken.
I’ve tested it both with gesture navigation and with the classic navigation buttons, and the issue happens in both cases.
I’ve also noticed the same bug on other Pixel phones, so it doesn’t seem to be limited to the Pixel 8 only.
Has anyone found a workaround or fix for this?
Maybe clearing the Pixel Launcher cache, changing animation settings, or something similar?
Or is this just a bug that needs to be fixed in a future update from Google?
