Coming back to snowboarding - need a new board
I snowboarded frequently between the age of 12-20 (90's beginning of 2000 - full camber era). Took a few runs after that but switched to skis when I got kids in 2014... I am now 45 years old and want to head back into snowboarding and need a new board. I've rented Salomon Huck Knife, Nitro Prime and tried Salomon Assassin for 3 runs. Huck Knife was quite cool but not really my cup of tea, didnt enjoy Nitro Prime, the Assassin however felt stable and chill, I didnt have to fight it - it just followed along and I could ride with confidence.
However, the 3 runs with the Assassin was in the park - so I couldn't "stress test" it with carving to the extent I would have wanted. I have also been eyeing the Nitro Team, but I have been unable to test it.
What I am looking for:
* Playful
* Easy to ride - I dont want to go hard to make the board feel nice.
* Park friendly AND groomer friendly
* Max 10m / 30ft jumps
The Assassin seems to tick those boxes, but I am a bit afraid that it will "collapse" at higher speeds and therefore I am also considering the Nitro Team. Going the Team route I fear that I need to fight it at slow speeds.
I am small / feather weight: 178cm and 62kg (5' 10" and 137 pouds).
I guess I might be searching for something that doesn't exist, just like my dad who wants a small laptop with a big screen :)
Anyone who has faced the same decision?
