Found a short drama that hits all my slow-burn feels
So I just found this short drama that’s totally my vibe — slow-burn romance, realistic conflicts, solid acting, and beautiful cinematography (which is an hidden gem for short drama).
The title: Summer Night Breeze
ML: Cha Ron
FL: Liu Quinai
The setup:
- FL, who’s the ML’s first love, comes back to her hometown after running into problems at her job as a lawyer.
- She reconnects with the ML, who’s been head-over-heels for her since high school.
- The conflict is simple but relatable: ML thinks FL already has a boyfriend in the city and is only back for a short holiday, so he doesn’t dare confess. Meanwhile, FL is clearly into ML’s manly presence and gentlemanly nature, but since he never takes initiative, she assumes he doesn’t feel anything to her.
It’s such a mature slow-burn dynamic — both are adults focused on their careers, but the affection is undeniable. FL is a promising young lawyer, while ML is just a high school grad who built a logistics business from scratch.
Someone in the comments mentioned this is actually the third version of the story. Now I’m curious — what are the other versions out there? IYK where to find out, please let me know.
Also, I’m looking for more short dramas with slow-burn romance and great cinematography. Any recs?
Thank youuuu so muuuuuch.
