I may have made a big mistake

I am a new player... I gathered all Jade fish and I keep recommended videos what to spend it on, so I did... I reached my limit. Today, new patch came out. The weekly event includes "Collect 1000 Jade fish" yet this is impossible... will I never be able to get full event reward because I missed out...? I wish I had known this. Now I am pushed back very very hard and wasted so much. I feel so lost and overwhelmed. Can someone help me ease my mind? I am not sure... I feel even tense while trying to explore the new area/quests.. feels so rushed in my head and I wish I could just relax and enjoy the game :'(
