Details when junking a car

My daughter has a 2020 Sentra with 120,000+ miles that won’t start and has a big host of other problems.

Back when it was running, a Mechanic said it may need a new transmission. I don’t know why for sure as my kid brought it in. She got a new car and was going to sell it but got busy and never got to it.

Now our mechanic said it probably needs a starter but he’s not even sure. He thinks it’s junk since it needs transmission, starter, tires, brakes, windshield and who knows what else.

A couple questions since I never dealt with junking a car before. Should I call more than one junkyard to see if prices differ? There aren’t any near us so they have an hour or more drive to get it.

It has a new good battery she bought trying to get it running. Will junkyards likely give us any extra for the brand new battery? Or any less if we sell that ourselves on Facebook Mp?

Thanks for your advice.

[Landlord US-FL] Tenant sending me checks for the rest of the year

First time landlord here. My tenant has been paying via electronic bank transfer so far this year, but due to some limits within his bank, has to send 2 payments each month to total the full rent. He's been paying rent on time for the lease, via those 2 payments per month.

He's said he wants to instead send me 4 checks dated for the rest of the year. (One check will be dated Sep 1. One dated Oct 1, etc).

I've just never paid my bills this way and need a quick reality check. He's been a good tenant. I think the request just caught me a little off guard and I'm making sure I'm not missing any angles.

I guess this is fine and I should just be happy he's paying rent in any format. But in case I'm missing something; is there any concern I'm overlooking with this approach?
