Spoilers: This is exactly what I pictured at the end of Book 4 of mage errant
I thought the mage eater was a fraud but that tiger is genuinely the coolest character in the series. No magic, no known special abilities, no larger than possible frame just straight animosity towards mages and a grudge big enough to learn how to hunt them. He’s a great power in my book
