So, myself and 3 other guys decided to chase a Blazing 7's slot. The total buy-in ended up being $5000 total.

Person 1 had 10%

Person 2 had 10%

Person 3 and 4 had 40% each.

After $3000 was lost Person 1 didn't want to invest in the play anymore. Person 2-4 stayed in and players 3 and 4 assumed the equity of the play or diverted to a new person.

When $4000 down only players 3 and 4 wanted to continue.

My opinion is that player one held 6% equity effectively even after exiting the play with a $300 investment and that player 2 held 8% equity of $5000 when the play was over and never hit by the time the play was down $4,000.

The total amount cashed out was $1800/$5000. Player 1 and 2 received nothing back and 3 and 4 split the money. Is this correct? I think player 1 should be given back $108 and player 2 $144. The player handling the money said player 1 and 2 are entitled to 0 since they backed out of the play at different points. The person handling the money has a flawed method of thinking IMO.
