Chennai Syrian Hamster bought in pair. Can I keep them together in a big cage ?

I have recently bought two syrian hamsters because one of the shop owners mentioned to buy two otherwise one can get lonely. I heard that they are solitary but since I'm a first time hamster owner I didn't want to risk it and got two hamsters. One is 1.5 months old and the other is prolly 1 month or younger ... I can't see any aggression between them yet but one or two times I saw the bigger one biting the small one. But I also saw the bigger one bringing food and drilling it on the small one. They sometimes sleep huddled together too. And usually there is no aggression between them. But I am worried due to the stories I have heard from hamster parents that one will eat the other and such. I am not financially or especially equipped to buy another big enclosure for one of the hamsters. I can make do with cheaper options but I am confused if that's really necessary since they usually don't seem to exhibit any aggression towards one another. One other thing is like the hamster getting bred in India they usually come from a background where they were previously stuffed in an enclosure where many others lived. So they are kind of used to the sharing space concept. I also read an article which advised to handle the hamsters a lot to make them used to being with other creatures. So from 10-15 room mates to one room mate won't that be easier for them to tolerate and accept ??
