Daily + Gymbag?

I’ve been part of NN on YouTube for a long time, but I figured it’s finally time to bring my question directly to the community.

I’ve always been interested in bags and I’m constantly searching for the best setup that fits my needs. That brings me to my current situation and my question for you all.

Right now, I’m looking for a good hybrid between a daily bag and a gym bag. At the moment, I use either the North Face Base Camp Voyager 42L or the Stubble & Co Kit Bag 65L. My typical carry includes gym gear like two pairs of training shoes, a weightlifting belt, straps, and similar equipment, along with my iPad Pro, meal prep, and a few other essentials.

The 42L is often just a bit too small (though I’m open to better alternatives), while the 65L is generally too large for everyday use, even though it works great when I need to carry more. I do find that I generally prefer duffel-style bags, but I’m definitely open to other suggestions if there are better options out there for this kind of setup.

I’ve been considering a different approach: using a tote bag to hold my standard gym gear, which I can then place inside my daily bag. That way, when I get to the gym, I can simply take out the tote and have everything organized and ready to go, instead of dealing with loose items.

Does anyone here have experience with a setup like this? Or do you have any tips, recommendations, or smarter ways to approach this kind of carry?

I would love to hear your thoughts about it!

Kind regards,
Bengt
