Underrated panel

Context: he and Anna were on the train, going to his final exam. He fell asleep and had a dream where he and Anna lose the train. There's an important detail, far more important than the exam itself. Kyotaro is not mad, and he is not sad.

He is smiling, in a bittersweet way. He cares for the school, but after all it's not the most important thing: his most important thing is there with him, and that's all that matters.

In real life, love is just like that: if you love someone nothing has sense as long as doesn't involve them. You can have other thoughts, but your significant other will always be all you need to be happy.

The second panel is maybe the most important one of the whole manga: he recieves lots of messages. Do you remember the first chapters/episodes?

He was a loner, who thought he wanted to kill Anna (because he didn't know how to process feelings). He didn't have friends, hated people, despised human contact and was stuck in a chuunibyou syndrome.

Now, after 200 chapters he is another person: his growth is incredible. He now is with the girl that took his life and turned it around, and has friends of all kinds. Anna gave Ishikawa's life a new meaning, and brought sunshine where there was darkness. I will never stop thinking how much similar are TDIMH and Your Lie In April, because of this exact thing.

Without Anna there would be absolutely nothing of Kyotaro. He wouldn't have grown, wouldn't know love, and wouldn't open with people. The fact we get to see their relationship is great, because we not only see how their feelings evolve, but we also see how they overcome difficulties as a couple.

Their relationship is so natural, probably the best one i've ever seen in an anime. I look forward to Season 3.

Does anyone know how many chapters are there before the finale? I think we are very close (sadly) but maybe something new will come out (like what happened with Takagi San).

I can't help but think one thing

This HAD to be series' finale, and not a season finale. In their mind they surely didn't think the anime would receive a green light for S3, because it's so "ending coded".

I loved it for the second time and it still surprised me how much Ichikawa grew in two seasons. A whole other character, with flaws and perks.

Will TDIMH recieve the Takagi treatment?

It seemed to end with the S2 finale, but now it recieved a "movie" and a Season 3 is confirmed for 2027. The manga is going to finish in a few chapters, and I can't help but think thay they will come back on their own decisions.

Like Takagi-san, which recieved three seasons, a kind of movie, a whole second manga about their daughter and a small spinoff around her life in middle school.

I am doing my second rewatch and...

I didn't remember them to be that straightforward: it's so obvious the two of them like each other, especially after Episode 3 of Season 2 (Ichi tells Anna to not give chocolate to other boys).

It doesn't really get any more obvious, but it's something i love about this anime: Ichikawa's feelings get stronger and Anna gets more and more open with her heart. Basically the both of them want the other one to know and is struggling to hide the truth. I remember how i loved the anime ending, and now that the manga went on i'm very happy to be able to read it.

For once Ichikawa is not a blind MC: he realises the special attention he receives from Anna, but thinks it's impossible for someone like him to be with Anna.

It's Your Lie in April all over again: a gloomy and depressed boy meets a happy and radiant girl who makes his existence happy again by bonding with him. This is just way more heartwarming (for obvious reasons).

I also forgot how much i loved this anime, and I made a great choice watching it after MDUD.

After ending again My Dress Up Darling, it's time for Boku No Kokoro. I love both of these series, and there are some similarities. Are there other MDUD fans here?
