Days off, downtime, repercussions?

Been doing 7 days / week NSM for a bit over 5 months. I love it, have had excellent results and enjoyed the simplicity.

However, I'm finding myself wanting to take a day off ever few weeks or so for life / a mental recharge.

Likewise, I am not built to run year round. I like taking some downtime after a long stretch of training, I've had a history of overtraining and burnout in the past so part of it is wanting to be safe.

I know one of the pillars of this is the consistent building over long periods of time. How much will I lose if I take a day off every 10 - 14 days, a lower week and some days off after a long block, etc.? Should I look for a different method to follow?
