What the hell is wrong with my spray bottle?
Thing is basically brand new. For some reason I can’t charge it without the pressure causing water to shoot out the top.

Ya know I got into this like a lot of people by watching these “you can make x dollars per week” videos but I have, surprisingly, been really enjoying this endeavor. These always look so good while they’re growing
What’s up party people? Feedback from my first market was that the people wanted mixes. I threw together 4 trays worth of samplers (broccoli, pea shoots, radish, and popcorn) and completely sold out of them, almost immediately. Popcorn was the star of the show for sure - if I could get someone to try a popcorn sample they would buy something 100% of the time.
I want to throw some salad mixes together as a staple product and wondering what people commonly use. Right now I’m thinking a basic salad mix, a spicy salad mix, and a general sampler.
Pea shoots are super popular but I feel like they lose their crunch a day or two after harvesting, so I’m thinking of taking them out of the mixes and maybe just selling live cuttings of those.
Broccoli, kale, radish, cabbage, and radish have all been extremely easy to grow. I’ve had issues with popcorn and sunflower (still trying to dial in my processes for sunflower). Are things like mustard and arugula more finicky? Basil? I know amaranth seems to have its challenges. What works for you?
Everyone seems a lot more scientific on here than I’ve been. Started the pile with mostly leaves and remaining wood chips from the garden - been adding kitchen scraps and leftover soil pads from microgreens.
Is a container necessary? I’ve been turning it over semi regularly and seems easier to do when it’s just out in the open.
Haven’t had to deal with any animals or anything yet though it occasionally gets flies.
I kinda just jumped into this full force and pretty much immediately ran into roadblocks and questions and everyone here has been insanely helpful and supportive.
I’m more or less up and running now after having encountered the necessary pitfalls and just wanted to give thanks to ya all collectively.
Was trying to time for a Saturday market but think I seeded 2 or 3 days early. Do you think 5 days from now is too late to harvest?
Growing 4 trays of radish - all looked great. This morning I came to find one of the trays looks wilted and a lot of the greens have fallen over. What happened? Are these salvageable?
Hi. My sunflowers are looking a little yellow…is this normal? Do they green up as they grow? Wondering if my light intensity is off. These are under two 4 foot 42w lights
Got my first farmer’s market coming up this Saturday - think these guys will be ready for harvest by then? This is my third grow. First one was spectacular. Second was a disaster. This one seems to be going well so far. First time trying peas and sunflowers.
Also how’s my light setup? These are barrina 40w. Should they be closer? Farther?
Went to seed my second grow attempt this weekend and found a lot more trouble with the initial watering process. I think my growing medium (potting soil) dried out some from sitting too long and became slightly hydrophobic. Took a long time for the water to absorb and it distorted my seed distribution and then partially buried the seeds.
Is this batch cooked? Is this normal? Should I put processes in place to keep my stored potting soil more moist? Any insight is appreciated.
Been lurking for a few years but finally bit the bullet and got my setup together. Pretty pleased so far! Especially with the red radish. Hoping to harvest in the next few days. Need some climate control and probably some stronger lights but I feel like we’re cooking now.
Kale, radish, salad mix, broccoli, and bottom shelf is another type of radish that was slower to germinate
