Could this be the chain?
Toyota Avensis D4D 2.0 93KW. noticed this noise as revs drop (listen as acceleration drops). Could this be the timing chain?
I noticed no other symptoms, such as clatter on cold start etc.
Strange moment though: i stopped the car. Started it again after 2 mins and the noise was gone.
