Combined pill affecting attraction to love of my life
I started the combined oral contraceptive 2.5 weeks ago to help manage my hormones (acne/ mood swings / probable pcos). The first two weeks I felt very sensitive and irritable but I think it's levelling out now. The major problem is how it's impacting my relationship. I'm with the love of my life who - before this pill - I fancied the pants off. However, since being on it I haven't just felt a massive drop in my libido (which wasn't great anyway due to the antidepressant I'm on), my overall attraction to him has drastically lowered. Like that physical 'in love' feeling has left the chat.. it's really affecting him.. and me.
I know this isn't an uncommon reaction to the pill, but I guess what I want to know is how likely it is to go away if I persevere? Has anyone experienced this while their body adjusted and then it got better? Any hope would be greatly appreciated!!
