Going into TFA but everyone says teaching is awful atm
I’ve been accepted into TFA and i’m beyond excited. Teaching has been my dream career since high school and I currently tutor and I love it so much. I understand tutoring is obviously a lot different to teaching but i’m really excited to get into teaching.
My concern is currently everyone seems to be hating their career in teaching. Whenever I tell people i’m going into teaching they say good luck you’ll hate it. I understand it’s a super difficult career choice, especially in Victoria atm. But is it really that bad? Am i doomed to hate my dream career?
Mainly looking for advice on the positives of teaching and people that enjoy it. Also any advice on how I can best prepare myself for TFA with my intensive starting in November.
