I haven’t had hot water since November 2025 and my landlord hasnt fixed it even after multiple times of me telling her about the situation and I’ve even had 2 plumbers come in and give her estimates to replace the water heater tank. She ignores my messages and just doesn’t care. Ive paid the rent this whole time except for may, idk if im supposed to put it in an escrow account in court or If it’s even necessary (i do have the money in my account). At this point I don’t want her to fix it, I want to end my lease early (lease ends April 2027), should i get a lawyer or try to talk to the landlord to see if she will agree with it?
