Do most golfers overestimate how good they’re actually hitting it at the range?

Been thinking about this lately.

Feel and reality don’t always match in golf. You can leave a range session thinking you flushed everything… but if you actually tracked dispersion patterns, consistency, and miss tendencies, the story might look different.

Makes me wonder if a lot of us practice without enough feedback to know what’s actually improving.

For people who actively track dispersion — did it change how you practice? Or do you mostly go off ball flight / feel?
