Is there any problem with my stats?

From January to April, I’d been walking for weight loss but with very little progress (111kg down to 107kg, 177cm tall). For the last few weeks, I’ve added rowing and have seen much better progress (down to 104kg). At first, I could only manage 2 minutes, but I’ve been going 4-5 times a week and can now manage 45 minutes without stopping, spm is 27-30, time/500m is approx 03:00. I’ve done this for the last 4 days and feel no issue, muscles and joints have been fine, heart rate has been mostly zone 3 for the whole time I do it so I’m not exactly pushing myself to my limits. What I’m a little confused about is I’ve seen other posts where people say that 30spm is too much and 20spm is more appropriate for 45 minutes, but I cannot fathom going that slow, my heart rate would stay in zone 1 and I’d be back to sluggish weight loss. Should I slow it down?
