Preserving Autographs NOFX
Hi everyone,
I was at one of NOFX’s final shows and had a backstage pass, which gave me the opportunity to meet the band and have all of them autograph my copy of The Decline. I was also lucky enough to be on stage during part of the performance and managed to get guitar picks from each of the band members that were used during the show.
I’m hoping to get some advice on two things:
- How can I officially authenticate the signatures? I actually have the autographs on video thanks to my wife, so I do have proof of the signing.
- What is the best way to preserve and protect the album and memorabilia so the signatures do not fade or become damaged over time?
I’d really like to keep everything safe both for sentimental reasons and so I can eventually pass it down to my kids — or, if absolutely necessary someday far in the future, allow them to sell it...after I am long gone of course.
Any recommendations or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
