THey were bought by the owners of Fitzroys, who plan to do the same transtion they did from Blue Light to Fitzroys. The goal at the new joint is a sports bar with very good beer and food above the usual sports bar stuff. The brewing area to be event/private space.

When they took over Blue LIght lease they kept the name while changing the menu/bar for a bit until the next slow season, then gutted and reset. Apparanelty they plan on the same with some sort of simple name change... "South Street Tavern" sort of thing with their drinks/menu.

PLan to be open by opening football game. I am hopefull as nowhere downtown has really good sports bar food and beer easy walking to a show at the Southern or Jefferson. Three Notched has some okay beer, but the food is meh. Citizen has good food but the beer options, like Whiskey Jar, has gone downhill. JBs burgers are good, but same with the beer...a lot of MEH. Hogwaller is solid...but a little to far a walk to the shows.

We will see, but they are making bank at Fitz.
