Been wanting shiny ‘Vees for a while now, and finally decided to pull the trigger! 6 plushies for under $20 (order total: $19.61) is INSANE to me, especially since the quality isn’t terrible. The fabric and stitching is nice on most of them (except Eevee has a small hole in the tail which I can repair, but c’mon I paid $3.59 for it I got what I paid for) and the colors are pretty. I cut the tail loose on Vaporeon since I didn’t like it stitched to the side. They were a tad smaller than expected but imo that makes them extra cute!

I’ve decided to name the shiny Eevee Silvent, if you get that reference you’re goated.

Actually not this weekend, pic taken last week but waited till I wasn’t home alone anymore for safety reasons.

Anyways, I thought this was gonna be a fun project, and it was! But it was also a major pain in the ass too. I severely underestimated the amount of time and effort this would take. Also, this was NOT made easier with cats running around excited from what was happening, walking on top of things, and overall causing a ruckus lol.

Anyways in this photo I have 243 plushies. Some aren’t actually very visible unfortunately, as they have been buried. So heres a video where I try to show some of the hidden ones, but even this doesn’t do them all justice. Even though these pictures were only taken last weekend it is already outdated, as I have ordered 6 more from AliExpress and bought a Mewtwo at Walmart… yikes. My bedroom was noticeably more echoey with the plush removed, which is kinda crazy.

Been wanting a big plushie for a while now, and finally decided to pull the trigger on this big fella! And I gotta say, I am EXTREMELY pleased!! It is HUGE, soft, and perfect to hug! Anyways, when deciding to buy her, I tried to search for info online (mostly Youtube and Reddit tho) but surprisingly couldn’t find much. So, I decided to fix that! Here I wrote a detailed (yet haphazardly organized) review on the plush, but feel free to ask for more info, photos, or videos!

So in total, I spent $241 on the plush on AliExpress by applying certain discounts ($40 off for some mid-year sale, and $20 off for using PayPal, plus small amount by using coins). $241 included tax, shipping (free), and tariffs which is an absolute STEAL for the size and quality. The plush itself weighs around 15-20lbs or 7-9kg, and it’s listed 170cm height is likely accurate, measured toe to mask/ear (reason I say likely is its hard to get her completely straight). It came with no holes or tears, a few loose threads that can be cut without unraveling the entire plush, and no bad smells.

She is pretty densely stuffed all around, especially in the hips and head. However, she is still plenty soft. Her neck, which is pretty thin, is extremely firm, I think they put some sort of cylindrical thing in there to support it, maybe dense foam? If I try to squish it, it has a little give, but not much. Overall though I am not comfortable holding it without supporting the head, but the reinforcement in it makes it much more sturdy. (Btw the easiest way to hold it is under the arms which is hilarious because you’re just giving her uppies lol.)

The neck support is the only internal support this plush has, it has no skeleton or anything that makes her posable, but I am not upset with that at all. The legs are actually less densely stuffed than the rest of the plush, meaning you can accidentally make her legs go backwards when moving her which looks.. uncanny, but doesn’t damage the plush. This is actually how she comes packaged, in a comically large sphere in a full scorpion pose. She got right to shape after being set free and filling with air. Though, parts of her (mostly the cape) were left wrinkly.

She comes packaged in two layers, the inner layer is a big semi-clear plastic bag, closed by being twisted around a bunch of times at the top, similar to how you may close a loaf of bread that you lost the twist tie for. After that, there are many layers of black duct tape compressing the plush. The duct tape layer actually arrived broken with the inner layer showing, however the inner layer was not compromised, so I wasn’t *too* worried about that. One thing though, it came with a minuscule dirt stain on her thigh that came off with water. Don’t know what it was but I suppose it’s worth mentioning, even though I didn’t care too much (plush I ordered from Walmart have had black oil stains on them, this was nothing compared to that).

It took a while to arrive, but it still arrived before the expected delivery date. Just for reference, I live in the middle of the USA, in Oklahoma. I ordered on June 16 and it arrived July 15, the estimated delivery date was July 17-22. Expect long periods with no updates, especially when it arrives at the airport in China, and when it supposedly “leaves” the country (it said it was leaving the country for about two weeks for me).

The plush itself has multiple different types of fabric, the primary fabric used for the body, arms (minus paws), most of the head and the flower for the light green and pink respectively, is fluffy and soft. It is very similar to the fur the Comfy Friends line has, it is heavenly soft and seems like it will maintain that softness over time. This fabric is very high quality. Then we have the fabric for the legs, paws + paw pads, mask, face + eyes, and back of the cape. This fabric is noticeably lower quality, but still seems good. It less soft but still comfortable, maybe just like a slightly lower quality of minky that the Jazwares uses. Finally my least favorite fabric of the plush, used for the light green inside the cape. The fabric itself isn’t terrible, it’s about the same quality as the mask fabric for what type it is, it just stands out compared to the rest of the plush. It’s not as soft or cuddly, but I wont say it’s scratchy or uncomfortable either. It’s just, the worst of the bunch. Thankfully, being only inside the cape you don’t really notice it either way.

The quality of the stitching is great, as I mentioned earlier it came with no holes or tears, only a few loose threads to be cut but it just seems sturdy otherwise. I was worried about the shoulders since its arms are kinda big but my worries have faded as it seems secure. You can see some threads through the seams on the feet/paw pads, but I’m not too worried about them breaking or coming loose. The neck flower is not sewn into the plush but around it, meaning you can freely spin it, which I think is slightly silly.

Do know though, that the plush will shed. Surprisingly though, not a lot at all. I’ve had plush much smaller than this (Comfy Friends, Cuddly Arcanine, and an Aurora brand plush) shed MUCH more than this. I’ve had some of the light green go floating around my room since getting it, and some pink from the flower. Overall though, I am not concerned at all.

The accuracy of the plush is phenomenal, not a missed detail anywhere. The face, the cape, the tail, everything is perfect. She even has toe beans/paw pads! I have to say, extra praise to the face specifically, the shaping is incredible with the little kitty snoot, something that the PC Meowscarada fails at imo, as it has a flat face. The eyes and mouth are more stylized, so while technically not accurate it gets a pass for trying (and succeeding) at giving it a different (but still good) look. One minor complaint though, is that the nose is green instead of pink. I bet hardly anyone else would notice but me, but it bugs me slightly nonetheless.

It’s possible I may be missing some information or that you may want more, so feel free to ask and I shall try my best to provide! Also, feel free to suggest silly photo ideas and I would love to do those too 👀!! Either way though, I would rate this plush 10/10 for size, quality, and price for those two categories. Definitely one of my most favorite plush purchases yet!

However, I would like to spend less money in the coming months, haha…

With all this is mind though, for the rest of the year…

If Galar SC drop in the US this year I will want to buy 4 (Boltund, Thievul, & Heroes Zacian and Zamazenta). If they happen to make K.Vulpix CF to pair with A.Vulpix I will want that too. If Jazwares makes the rest of the Sleeping Eeveelutions I will want the last 3 (and possibly the Eevee too, which I don’t have). Additionally, if Jazwares makes more 24” Eeveelutions I would like to buy them. If they make Gen 9 starter plush I will want Pombon. I want to buy Galarian Zapdos & Moltres to pair with my Articuno. If I ever stumble upon a Jazwares Zorua I would like it. Maaaybe also Arcanine and Mewtwo too from Jazwares.

Most of those are theoretical purchases, as the plush don’t exist (yet). But that’s also not including other plush we don’t even know about that may release that I may want, sooo… We’ll just see where 2026 takes us.

Really super excited for this shipment, all of these plush are ones I have been wanting for some time. I’ve been really wanting the new Mega Absol since I saw its original release pics, and the others I had missed their initial release and they only now finally restocked! This honestly feels sorta like a long time coming for most of these lol, ESPECIALLY Zorua!

Lots of new additions to my collection this week! The Bingo prizes were all donated, and when I picked these guys up I felt they were wet. I believe the previous owners tried to clean them which I respect them for, but I didn’t fully trust the drying process on such big plush. So, I opened them up.

They were wet all the way to the middle, so I put all the stuffing in front of a fan, then gave the fabric an extra wash on an old-fashioned washboard. I’m glad I did, as the water I dumped out after was yellowish brown. I used lukewarm water and some Zote laundry soap btw. I then rinsed them a couple times then put them in front of the fan to dry overnight too.

Finally, this morning I restuffed them then closed them with a ladder stitch. This was actually my first time doing a ladder stitch and I gotta say, it is super easy and satisfying!

Pretty disappointed that they didn’t release the Japanese version, will likely buy that at some point. The plush is good… for a 2013 plush. Its a bit smaller then expected, and the felt texture bugs me. It’s lightly stuffed which I quite like, since I think modern plush can be quite overstuffed at times. Even though it is covered, it still has its second eye underneath the fur, which is a neat detail. I think I will still keep it, and get the better one from JP, and make this one a travel buddy where they may get dirty.

It’s a pretty good bootleg plush! Of course, still a bit wonky as you can tell by the claws, and the proportions are a little wacky, but overall I love it!! Had to get a bootleg Houndoominite to go with it of course 👀
