What do you do when you have content ready but don't feel like posting it?
Not asking about writer's block.
More like... you've already made the video/post, it's sitting there ready, but you keep finding reasons not to publish it.
Curious if other creators get this or if it's just me.
The weird thing about growing an audience is that eventually people start remembering things you forgot you posted.?
Someone will bring up an old video from six months ago and I'll have no idea what they're talking about.
Meanwhile, they remember the exact point I made.
It makes you realize your content lives in people's heads a lot longer than it lives on your feed.
Maybe "post consistently" is bad advice for some creators.
If someone is still figuring out what they actually want to make, posting every single day might just help them get better at making the wrong thing.
I'd rather see someone experiment for a month and find their style than force 30 random posts just to hit a streak.
What's one thing you wish your younger creator self had stopped worrying about?
Maybe it was what other creators thought.
Low views.
Not having expensive equipment.
Posting at the perfect time.
Looking inexperienced.
What would you tell yourself not to worry about?
What's one thing you do before publishing that actually makes a difference?
Not a complicated content system. Just one small thing. Reading it out loud watching it without sound waiting an hour before posting sending it to someone first... What's your little pre publish habit?
Would you rather be known by a small group or recognized by millions?
Being widely recognized sounds great. But there's something different about having a smaller audience that genuinely knows your work and cares about what you say. Which kind of success actually matters more to you?
Do you think people follow creators for the content or for the person behind it?
Two creators can make almost the same type of content and build completely different audiences. Maybe the topic gets people there but personality is what makes them stay. What makes you personally keep following someone?
What's the longest you've gone without posting and did it 2 actually hurt your growth?
There's a lot of pressure to stay consistent.
- But sometimes life happens or you simply need a break. When you came back did your audience disappear or was the difference smaller than you expected?
