Hi all,
I lived in the UK for 7 years and have been back in Rio for the last year. I’m thinking of trying Mar del Plata for 1-3 months to see if I like it enough to stay longer. I like the variety of beaches, the pubs/restaurants scene, and having actual seasons.
So far I’ve only checked Playa Grande and the Güemes area. I don’t drive, so walkability is key (ideally beach + supermarket + pubs within 5-10 min walking).
A few questions:
-Does Playa Grande have supermarkets, shops, and daily stuff within easy walking distance?
-Is Güemes too far from the main beaches?
-Which area tends to feel safer?
-Any other neighborhoods I should look at?
