If you’ve ever looked at a PSO-1 and thought "What the hell am I looking at?", this is for you.

Hey everyone,

I spent way too long just guessing where to aim with the PSO-1 because the reticle looks more like a math problem than a scope. It’s definitely not as intuitive as a standard red dot or a basic crosshair, especially when you’re trying to figure out what those curved lines in the corner actually do.

I put together a quick video breaking down how that rangefinder works and what all the different aiming points are for. I tried to keep it pretty direct and focused on the actual mechanics so you can actually start landing your shots instead of just eyeballing it.

Full disclosure: I’m a brand new creator and I’m really trying to get this channel moving. If you’ve got a spare minute to check it out, it would be a huge help. I’m also looking for any feedback on how to make these better—I'm still learning the ropes on the editing side of things.

Cheers!

I spent way too long (16 hours) trying to make this look cinematic, only for the "social" aspect of MilSim to absolutely ruin me. This is my first proper shot at producing something for YouTube with a genuine curiosity to find out whether anyone actually would like it.

If you enjoy high-fidelity hardware being wasted on low-fidelity human interactions (and some very questionable co-pilot music choices), give it a watch.
