Been on the pill for years and my periods are so light sometimes they scare me! Anyone else?
I’ve been taking the combined pill since I was 15 - originally went on for painful and irregular periods. The irony is that over the past few years as I’ve approached 30 my periods have become irregular again - sometimes (maybe half the time) they are SO LIGHT they are almost nonexistent.
This month I spotted lightly for just one day only. It freaks me out and makes me think I’m pregnant. Like no blood in my pad at all, just some slight red when I wipe. I still have the bloating, acne, and cramps I get with a regular period.
I really can’t find much info about this online. I know after a period of time on the pill your lining really thins, but is it so thin you barely shed anything at all?
Just want to see if anyone shares this experience! I told my doctor and she seemed confused as to why I would complain about a light period and didn’t offer any explanation.
