Where you work, what kind of testing is done for a normal report or dashboard?

When I've been a part of analytics teams outside of IT, we'd of course vet the reports for accuracy with a stakeholder, but now that I'm in IT it seems like the testing is way overdone. The risk of a report being incorrect is minimal compared to all the testing they want to do.

Feels to me like people trying to equate analytics and reporting to all the other areas of IT.
