I finally managed to push through and not turn the game off during a bear struggle (why does that cutscene have to be so long), I was a bit freaked out afterwards and ended up sprinting across the map. I just realised I don't have my bow, which I last used to shoot at the bear couple in-game days ago. I left some extra gear in a few places in the meantime so it's possible I accidentally left it somewhere. I looked around the spot where the struggle happened and the bow isn't there, I even found the arrow from when I missed the bear but not the bow.

So am I a dumbass and stashed my bow into a random container or did the bear eat it and there's no point in looking for it?
