I had a male grapevine that I had to cut out of my yard, is there a fast way to get this ready to use in a waterfall paludarium, like putting in oven for a few hours or do I absolutely have to let it dry in the sun for like a year or two?

Edit: no longer need responses as I just found out grapevine rots extremely quickly in this type of build
