About distortions
Not sure what the general take is, but in my opinion distortions don’t seem like a net evil, but rather another form of ego. They both are able to grant people power relating to the desires of the person, it just seems that for distortions they are consumed by the emotions they felt leading up to it compared to ego. However, it’s not like distortions are incapable of communication. Reverbs ensemble is the best example of this, there are many fully sentient members. It’s also not like ego is only given to people who do good while distortions go to those who do bad, ahab is a prime example of this. Her ego’s power is gained from the sacrifice of others. Overall they seem less like completely opposing forces and more like 2 ways to the same result, a way to give power to the normal person.
