Struggling
SIE in 2.5 weeks — stuck at 55-65% on practice exams. What should I change? I’ve been studying for the SIE for about two weeks.
Week 1: Completed the full Pass Perfect course Week 2: Took 6 practice exams — scoring consistently between 52-64%
My biggest issue is that my memorization is stronger than my actual understanding. I can recall facts, but I struggle when questions require me to apply concepts.
At this point I’m debating between three options: 1. Go back and re-read Pass Perfect chapters — but I’m worried this is just passive review that won’t move the needle 2. Keep grinding practice exams — but if I don’t understand the concepts, I feel like I’m just memorizing question patterns 3. Supplement with something like Series 7 Guru on YouTube — would a different format help the concepts actually click?
Has anyone broken through a plateau like this with limited time? What actually worked for you?
