Can Akita s be good service dogs? (specifically for adhd/anxiety/depression)
Heyyy everyone. I wanna give a little context first. I don’t have an Akita but owning one has been a dream since 5. I’m 18now and I’m going to collage and I want to spend my collage years part time learning to train dogs and wanna be certified. I want to be as ready as I can be to be a qualified Akita mom after I graduate and start working.
Unfortunately in my country service dogs are not legally permitted to own unless you have a severe physical disability. So even though I know I can’t get my dog certified I still want her to to be able to help me with my disorders and get trained. I’ve never seen a Akita as a service dog so I’m curious to know your opinions.
Also because there isn’t any official training here I will be the one doing the training myself with the training I will get before I get my dog.
