Millwright worthy in 2026 ?

Hello,

I am 35, never being a technician, I am taking my admission at Cambrian College (Ontario) for 2 years Industril mech - millwright.

  1. Is it worthy in 2026 ?

  2. I have good aptitude to understang and solve maths problems. But at my age, is it OK ?

  3. After the 2 years program, I will need apprenticeship, I think I heard people saying it's difficult in Ontario.

  4. I also have admission in Power engineering. wondering what to choose.

Really wish to know what professionals from the field think abt it.

Thanks

Hi,
I am 35, a previous logistics professional.
I have never worked as a technician or
Never done a technical manual work

But I have good basis in maths, physics. I understand maths calculations easily.

I got my admission for Power engineering program Cambrian college and normally going to finish the program with a 3rd class certificate.

Everywhere I can see ""there's a lot of 3rd class struggling to get a job""

  1. Is it true Ontario is saturated ?
  2. Which program do you think I may switch to get enter a carrer full of opportunities.

I can do really great when I find good perspective.

Thanks.
