I need to know if I’m correct in my assessment
So I was given a citation from my town’s ordinance because my vehicle tag wasn’t affixed on the proper side of my windshield — I wasn’t aware there’s an actual ordinance that states the specific side but that’s neither here or there. I fixed it.
I have to pay money and I don’t really want to do that so I’m thinking it should be dismissed based on being factually incorrect. The officer wrote “no vehicle tag”, which isn’t true because it’s on the window (and as I stated previously, wasn’t aware there’s an actually ordinance in place). I have photo evidence of him walking up to my car and reaching over the sticker to place my windshield — to which it should’ve been noticed by them.
My question is do you think it’s possible to have it dismissed? $100 is a lot for something I do have when they said I didn’t. Additionally, I received another citation a week prior [for something my fault so that isn’t an issue] but didn’t receive warning about the sticker at the time. If anything, I should’ve gotten two separate ones if the sticker placement was that big of a deal.
