A first time IEM buyer needs help.

Hey everyone, I’m completely new to the IEM space and currently looking for my first proper IEM with a strict budget of around $30 USD max.

Right now I’m considering the TANGZU Wan’er S.G 2 Jade Dragon Edition, specifically the Type-C version.

I mostly listen to atmospheric melodic hip-hop/trap, synthwave/chillwave, ambient electronic, cinematic/night-drive music while working and occasional phonk. I care more about immersive sound, clean sub-bass, vocals, separation, atmosphere, and soundstage rather than just heavy bass.

I’ll also use the IEMs for story-driven gaming sometimes and general media consumption.

My devices:

  • Android phone with only USB Type-C
  • PC with both 3.5mm and USB Type-C
  • Laptop with both 3.5mm and USB Type-C

Main thing I’m confused about:
Does the Type-C version of the Wan’er SG2 already include a built-in DAC, or would I still need to buy a separate DAC dongle later?

Would really appreciate some beginner-friendly advice 🙏
