Am I prepared enough for Analyzing and Interpreting literature?
I am looking to take the analyzing and interpreting literature CLEP. This would finish my english core that I would need and would not longer need to take an english class which I am glad for because I don't feel like I am great at english. Like the title asks do you think that I am ready to take the test. I have been averaging high 60s in practice tests and just got a 72. I am not looking to do great my school will take a 50. I have never really been all that great at english I am more of a straightforward Math and Science person. I have been reading old passages from early modern english and trying to get tone words and old usage words down. I have heard that this is a test that you don't really study for except for those kinds of things that I am trying to learn and get practice in. I feel like at times I lose track of what is going on with the archaic language and also get lost when tone changes and I don't really know when things are figurative vs being serious. If anyone has any advice for the test that would also be greatly appreciated. Another note I also am not a person who really reads literature like that. I can read documents or research papers in other fields but those reading skills don't really seem to transfer as well into this.
