I have a pair of SR325x and the inner plastic cups holding the drivers are 29mm deep;

the same parts on my MS1 are only 18mm deep;

Is this what you would expect?

The reason I ask is that I've seen another heavily modded pair of SR325x and the plastic cups are 18mm deep and I need to know if a previous owner has switched in the drivers from a different (less expensive) set of headphones and fitted them into the SR325x aluminum cups.
