I have seen Jersey City bike Infrastructure actually looks really nice around downtown and they have a lot of decent protected bike lanes there. Do people actually bike there? How about around Hoboken? Is citibike reliable out there? Also what is the best route to go from downotwn / exchange place to Journal Sq area, maybe like Newark Street. It looks like they have a lot of good bike lanes but they become bad pretty quickly outside of the city. Also any experience riding the Path trains with a bike?

I bike around a lot, and I see a lot of people commuting / getting around on bike, but I'm too worried to park my bike on the streets. How often do bikes get stolen? Is it actually safe? Is it easy to find good bike parking everywhere or is it mostly just on poles and parking signs? How about more expensive e-bikes? Would it be worth it to buy a really cheap bike for local errands?
