Question about Apple ID and a work laptop

I recently left my company (week ago after 4 years, 30k person company). I had a MacBook Pro 16”.
Concern:
That said, I don’t recall ever logging into this laptop with a personal Apple ID (I know that’s a huge no no) but for some reason got hit with paranoia this weekend. (Mainly because of personal videos and memes on my photos)
I am quite sure I never logged into because I feel I’d have remembered doing the laborious Apple login and it demanding I do FaceTime and messaging login.
Details (what I recall):
I checked my personal device list and nothing came up except a 15” MacBook Pro (company from way back that I left in 22”) - I’ve since removed that.
The laptop in question was my recent employers laptop, a MBP 16” 2021.
I didn’t see anything in my personal email about a device login for the laptop I was issued at work (for reference a MBP 16” 2021), only a notification for me logging into my personal laptop.
That said, if for whatever reason my photos synced, are they permanently imaged on the laptop? Or was it once I changed my password / log out across all devices I should be ok?
