Uncommon Build Needs

Hello, my name is BIT, and I’d like to know the best way to go about building a gaming rig for my specific needs.

I’m a boomer shooter player, so 99% of the games I play have no need for a graphics card that is crazy powerful. In fact, most of my performance bottlenecks are in the CPU. I play Team Fortress 2, a game that is so ancient that it still uses CPU-based 3D graphics. So I can afford to forgo some graphical power in exchange for a more powerful CPU.

Here’s my draft build I threw together on a random website as a reference for what I’m going for. Let me know what I can do to improve it, or just suggest a new build if mine is trash.

DRAFT: ~$1700

Lian Li Lancool 207 Mid Tower

Intel Core i9 14900k 3.2GHz 24-Core LGA1700

ASUS TUF GAMING B760-PLUS WIFI Motherboard

Asus GeForce RTX 5060 Prime 8GB GDDR7

ADATA XPG LANCER RGB BLACK DDR5 6000 CL-30 16GB

Thermalright Assassin X 120 Refined SE Air

TEAMGROUP MP44L 1TB SSD (General Storage)
TEAMGROUP MP44L 500GB SSD (OS storage)

Corsair RM750e 2025 750W Power Supply

3x ARCTIC P12 PWM PST 120mm 56.3 CFM Fans

Hopefully you guys can help me improve the performance, and cost, of this build.

P. S.
I don’t really care about monitors, mice, keyboards or headphones, I have those already. I also know what I’m doing with the OS and audio, so theres no need to suggest things on that front.
