Was gifted a young lemon tree in London. Please advise before I ruin its life
Hi all
I’ve been given a young lemon tree as a gift. It is very cute, very green and I have no idea what I’m doing. I’m just staring at it like it might explain its needs first.
I’m in London, England. I at least know it should go outside in summer and come indoors in winter, but beyond that I’m lost. Do I just leave it outside all summer? Bring it in every time it rains? Move it somewhere sheltered if it gets cold, or during a heatwave? Also, do I repot it straight away or let it settle in first?
They also very kindly gave me a summer feed and a winter feed, which makes me feel both supported and wildly under qualified.
Any beginner advice would be much appreciated.
