arduous pack test as a petite woman (help) 🙃
i am set to take the pack test in the next few weeks (probably sometime in june) and i am struggling and could use some advice. i am 5,1 and 103lbs. been exercising for 8 years now but mostly lifting weights. i do some cardio but mostly zone 2 stuff out of fear of losing weight. the tough part is this weight is a bit heavy for me, and i will be doing the test outside in a desert (it’ll probably be between 95-100 degrees.) i live in a very hot climate and im working on going up in weight, so i went out today at peak heat (96 degrees) and unfortunately i only got 2 miles at a 16 min pace with 35lbs. i drank some pedialyte before but i cut it short because i was worried id get too far from home and pass out somewhere in the street which would be very dangerous in the city i live in 😂 i was wondering if there are any women in this field who are my size who may offer some advice, or really just advice from anybody would be nice. im feeling a little discouraged, but it may be that im just not heat acclimated yet as i usually workout inside a gym. on the bright side, now that im back home i feel pretty much perfectly fine so maybe it was in my head
